FAQs
Do you buy wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses?
No. Consignment boutiques or stores sell your garments/items for you. After the garments/items have sold, you will receive 50% of what they sell for. The store acts as your agent in selling the garments/items for you. In return, the store keeps 50% of the price for payment of selling your garments/items. Please see Consignment Policy by clicking here.
Where do your dresses come from?
Our dresses come from many sources. Our “gently loved” dresses come from happily married brides who want to give someone else the opportunity to wear their dress again instead of hiding it preserved in a box. Most of our dresses (80-85%) are brand new with tags still attached. Not to worry these have not came from cancelled weddings with bad karma. These dresses can be discontinued samples from bridal stores, as well as from brides who have purchased one dress they thought was “the one” only to discover that “perfect one” after they purchased the first one. Gowns and accessories are not returnable at bridal stores, so only chance to get some money back on their investment is to consign the unwanted dress.
Do I need an appointment to try on dresses?
Due to our limited hours, we highly recommend you make an appointment to try on dresses so a bridal consultant is available to work with you. We only have a certain amount of time slots available on the busiest days of the week and the calendar is booked in a way to maximize the number of brides we can accommodate. Walk-ins are always welcome and we are very excited when someone walks into the boutique with or without an appointment! If you drop in without an appointment and a consultant is available to work with you, we absolutely will take you! With that being said, we do our best work and you will receive the best experience of our personalized one on one attention if we have time to plan, so we ask that you make an appointment.
How much do alterations for a wedding dress cost?
This question is simply too hard to answer until we see what needs to be done to your dress. All dresses are constructed differently and fit brides differently as well. Until we see your dress on you, there is no way we can give you an estimate for alterations. Our professional alterations are those of exceptional high quality. Alterations such as these do cost money, and we believe you get what you pay for.
How much time is needed to alter a wedding dress?
We suggest you book your initial appointment two to three months before your wedding date to give ample time to perform the alterations. At least one more fitting will be needed which will be somewhere between 2-4 weeks before your wedding based on what your individual dress requires in alterations.
Do you rent dresses?
No. The dresses in our store are for sale and not for rent. The only items we rent are some of the bridal slips.
